I am a qualified educational psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of KwaZulu Natal and I did my undergraduate studies and honours degree at Rhodes University. I am a published journal author and experienced facilitator.

I have been in private practice for a number of years and I have worked with children in varying capacities since 2003. I have a career history in teaching and qualified as an Intermediate Phase teacher in 2008. I have also taught remedial lessons for a year. I am well positioned to support children and educators in the school context. I am passionate about working together to maximize potential.

The vision behind my use of the acorn in my branding is a simple one.

An acorn, to me, represents a small item with a great deal of potential. An acorn can be held in one hand, misplaced, easily crushed and discarded. However, when nurtured, seen and supported in it's growth, it develops into a magnificent oak tree. A lot of my passion for psychology, and educational psychology in particular, stems from a heart to see people reaching their potential.

This is the approach I take when working with my clients.

I see every child and their context as unique. Truly, no two children are the same. I value partnering with teachers, parents and caregivers to help children reach their true potential in and out the classroom.

I am married to an English teacher and we have two precious children. We have lived and travelled abroad and we have settled in the countryside for a full but happy life together.
